Ben Liebrand Grand Mix 91
Just going through some old records and I came across a 12" with no name on the labels. Just played it again after many years and it is....... the Grand Mix 91 split into half on side 1 and 2. I never knew I had this.
If anyone wants it I will record it and clean it up and post it.
Let me know.

Re: Ben Liebrand Grand Mix 91
I would love this Andrew, not because I do not have it as a sound recording, most everyone that has an interest in Ben Liebrand probably has this mix.
However to have it from a trusted source like yourself that is going to rip it from a bootlegged vinyl source for us collectors to compare it also a treat.
Do you know if this is listed at discogs?

Re: Ben Liebrand Grand Mix 91
Just started recording it.... side two starts with a fade in at The Whistle Song - Frankie Knuckles and there is no way I can join the two sides cleanly, so I will post the two sides separately.
Greg, I can't find it on discogs but there is not much info to search with.

That's fine Andrew ......
Actually 2 separate sides is better. Wonder how the bootleggers did the edit. Curious to hear if they added or took away anything from the original.

Re: Ben Liebrand Grand Mix 91
Thanks Andrew
I see what you mean about no information on the labels, other than what looks to be hand written with a marker, other than that, there seems to be nothing.
Very nice of you to post this, for a few of us that like to collect his mixes, having this rip directly from vinyl is nice, you can hear exactly where whomever copied this and transferred it to vinyl made the edits to make it fit onto vinyl. Seems when they edited it they left out song 56 Move That Body - By Technotronic.
Thank you again very nice to know about this bootlegged vinyl version.

Re: Ben Liebrand Grand Mix 91
That is right, they left out Move that body and the fade in on side 2 is bad. I tried to read the runout etching on the vinyl but that too is very scratchy so I don't think I can track down any info. That is why I did not enter it on Discogs, there is nothing to enter.
Glad someone could use it thought.

Re: Ben Liebrand Grand Mix 91
Thanks for that little extra info about the runout etching.
On a lot of these bootleg mixes, I wonder if there were just a few people making them that knew how to make some money on the side copying other peoples stuff. ..... Or were there a lot of different people doing it.
Obviously on just about all of them they were printing (on the labels) false information or no information at all like this one, making it just about impossible to track down exactly were they came from.
