SERIOUS TROUBLE with ext HDD Transcent mobile
Who can help me with this problem.
Was copying the recent DMC/Clubtrax to the ext. HDD & stupidly cut/paste the first 66 volumes so I don't have a copy of these 66.
All went well & I played some tracks from the ext. HDD when it suddenly just disappeared from the computer. I reconnected it but it didn't came back on, tried it with an old mini notebook but the transcend is not starting up anymore there as well.
Does someone know how I can get the 66 volumes back? Funny thing is, that the device manager says the ext HDD is working correctly?!!!!

If you use Windows, you can use a program called Get Data Back, this program is in two versions, fat 32 and NTFS, it depends on how your external HD is formatted, you can use the version you want, basically recovers files and folders deleted.

Thanks Gurge but nothing is deleted. I think the EX HDD cannot start up anymore, at least that's what it looks like. I will try to find that program you mention on google.
Edit: if something is deleted it will be on my notebook. Will go to computer store tomorrow & bring the ext. HD and see if they can get the 66 files of that discs. If all fails I will have to download these files again.

Then it is a mechanical problem, you should find a HD secondhand equal and change mechanics, important that HD does scraping noise, then the disc is damaged, however the link with getdata ..... crack

Thanks gurge, will download these.
Ext HD: no noise at all, just silence and no scraping noise. I think the start up or whatever it's called on that disc stopped working.

But it is in a Box? Because in that case you can remove and try another box
Re: SERIOUS TROUBLE with ext HDD Transcent mobile
Not in a box, one solid piece, will go to the computer shop now in hope they can retrieve the data.

Well, they keep talking about a broken HD which is NOT the case, so I don't know how to fix this. Told him more then once that the STARTING UP of the disc is the problem, additionally the device manger of windows tells me the device works correctly.

O shit, this seems to be the end of an internal HD to a PC that does not want more work ...... and open the pc and lever that has test and connect the other way, you have a laptop?
Re: SERIOUS TROUBLE with ext HDD Transcent mobile
Yes, laptop or notebook. Tried all cables, tried on both computer but as said, the ext HD won't start up so I can't use retrieve data as well, I'm simply locked out of my data.
