How Many Beats Per Minute Is ??
I stumbled across this a few weeks ago and thought I would share it. I do not know if it' is an accurate listing of Beats per-minute or if there are any more comprehensive lists than this circulating around the w.w.w. Maybe it will be of use to someone.

Many years ago one of my Dj friends subscribed to a book call the DJ bible, (or something similar to that name) that had all the songs listed by beats per minute. It actually was pretty handy reference, especially when we were first starting out trying to learn how to beat match songs on turntables. The odd thing (is/was) the book was never finished. Every two weeks or month or so you would get new pages to add into the book to cover all the new songs that came out since the last updated pages. A little bit of a pain in the ass to keep adding pages, but the nice thing about the updated pages was it always had all the new songs that had came out or were soon to be released, so it really kept you on top of all the releases that had any kind of a dance beat to them.
I guess nowadays they don't do it that way anymore. I'm showing off my age now.

Holy shit, that is a blast from the past......I always had a stop watch and click counter and must did a 30 second count and doubled it.......sharpied it right on the cover......didn't care about resale value of the issue, made sure I was always prepared....as far as key went.....well, you just had to know your library and what tunes would mix together.....a lost art IMO.

L.O.L. we used to buy small white stickers ....... while a sharpie worked good for most jacket covers, a fair amount of the promos from one or two of the record companies would come in those "plain" - "all black generic" sleeves that were impossible to write on and be able to read.
Everyone seemed to have there own little method of labeling things years ago. Every once in a while when looking up something on discogs you will see an image of a vinyl record that had to have been once owned by a Dj.. ........ covered with BPM notes.
