How to share? (PLEASE READ!)

Since we're back on the free forum, risk is high(er) of being shut down. (Remember BA80's, Shooters).
We have a small group now & we need to monitor every person who signs up.

About sharing:

I think best is that we post just as before but without a link in the post. Just add PM me for link.
I see that 80'sjunkie & udanax done that and I think that is a good way to try it out.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO CODE YOUR LINK IN THE PM

You should keep a record of your links then on Word or whatever.

We might see some more beatings coming up on file sharing in the near future, with these plans being enforced soon & we'll have to see how that goes.

Feedback on this topic is appreciated.

I totally agree with monitoring every person that signs up.
I'd rather see quality members, than quantity of members.
And people SHOULDN'T share links that they get here.

I'm using Sugarsync and Box for my files.
Free 5gb storage, and I'm short naming files
(ex. Dead Or Alive - Rip It Up = DOA-RIU.rar)
Signing up is easy, just use a fake name.

I like the PM idea, makes it safer.
If a person is to "put out" by PMing, then maybe they
shouldnt be here.

Please be aware that regardless of coding links or not coding links, if the host company wants to look inside the database, it will not matter whatsoever if the links are coded, all the data can be extracted and used to shut down if they feel they want to. There is no safety net in a system like this when its free, I'm just saying this so you won't feel any veil of security where none exists.

Jerry is right about not using the full title in your files. It makes detection less easy for the hosts.

Also, two more things to lower your risks.

1. Please zip the music files before you upload. If you zip your files, it is not obvious that your upload is music files because no mp3 or WAV or FLAC extension appears.

2. Password protect your zipped files is an added security.

Be safe, protect yourself and your forum community.
Sounds like some safe sex ad eh? LOL!
